"Saving humanity from us? Or itself? How can you be so ignorant to the atrocities man commits to one another then spreads to those around it? How can you so naively hold yourself to such circumstances without seeing the logic behind the reasoning of others? Only a human can will themselves into such mental isolation. We do not kill you as though you were simple invaders. We kill you because there is no other method. Adapt or perish."
The figures then subside back into the shadows, their helmets dimming as they become one with the darkness. "Even now, you think only of yourself and roll your eyes as if nothing were wrong. Inside of your heart and your mind, it must be a constant war of coming to grips with reality and the imaginary scenarios you choose to see."
The door opens and Iruel walks from the chamber, "The Order will perish. Your domain extends to small area around Toledo and the entirety of the Omicron-100 system. One is your home and the other is merely a location for your forges. The Coalition makes the mistake of seeing itself as superior. That it has 'might'. The Order makes the same mistake. As does the other unlawful groups that futilely kick at the knees of something they have no hope of fighting. You call it free will and a voice to fight. But is it nothing more than the propagation of an idea? How many have to die to make a point, Jeremy? How many do you have to put in the line of danger as you seek to fulfill your own goals?
"If you don't want your family to die, stop hiding behind them like shields. Quit using them to justify your hidden agendas. And in war, people die. If you don't want them to, then send them home," They continued to walk to the hangar bay, where a small pod had been prepared. "We seek to show you the error of your blind ambition and that you are causing more harm to yourself and humanity than you are doing to help it. The Order will be euthanized with Sirius seeing it only as a selfish monster with the aims of holding all to itself."
Iruel turned directly to Hunter, gesturing to the pod. "This will take you to Omicron Delta. A trip that will last a day if you aren't intercepted or there are no celestial phenomenon. I can see that this entire endeavor was a waste of time and that your one-way mind will not allow you to comprehend that we are not the evil beings you perceive us as. We are at war. There is nothing more to it. Nothing less. We fight and we die for the same goals that humans hold dear: Our birthright."
Iruel erected his posture, the mask sliding back to hide his features. "Now Hunter, get the hell off my ship."
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
"It wasn't a waste of time. And I do nothide behind my family." Jeremy stepped toward the pod. "You are wrong about that. You cannot know what I am, or how I act, or my motivation by pictures. I understand you and your kind better. The Iseijin, I see can be reasoned...no, you can't. You are no better than us. We seek you dead, you seek us. You say you are better, yet you don't want to try and open dialogue? That is just.pathetic then."
Jeremy turned his back to them.
"You mean let you infect us or die. And we fight to live. It may be your birthright, but for eight hundred years you were never seen. How could we know?"
Jeremy tapped his Wayfinder.
"I said I would try and leave the Iseijin off our targetting list. Now you're making me rethink that. I understand you better, and thus my hatred is stayed. Believe me or not, is not my choice."
Jeremy entered the pod.
"And with pleasure. Make sure your own arrogance is stayed. We all screw up; You are not an exception."
The pod left, and Jeremy fell asleep as the pod rocketed to Delta.
==============
Tuvalu Orbit, one day later
The pod became caught in the gravity well. Jeremy didn't know; he was fast asleep.
Jeremy opened his eyes to be greeted by a pretty nurse.
"Oh good, third cruise has the hot women. Do tell me who's the cruise director."
"You're onboard the flagship Inquisitor."
Jeremy laughed.
"I get my tour aftee I get rescued."
"Admiral Golanski wishes to speak with you."
"Do I get dinner with you if I say yes?"
"You're delirious."
"Delirious? No, I'm just hittig on a pretty Order nurse whose a sight I really am glad to see after that damn bastard on Ahkraziel. Tell Michal he can come here. I'm liking laying down."
Jeremy laid his head back and sighed. The nurse, her face slightly pink, went,to get him food and tell Admiral Golanski Jeremy wanted to speak with him.
Jeremy turns his head to see holographic projection of admiral Golanski. As he continues to talk.
Interesting, previously you wanted a tour on Inquisitor and now you don't want move a single tiny bit. Before I will release you, I do need to know what the hell happened down there. Starting from what you needed board a Outcast warship instead of blow it up. And better in private, that is a hospital. So will you move or I will need send in a one of those hover-pad we use to carry amunition and weapons on?
Golanski paused for a bit and continued:
And don't think about exploring on your own, you will get lost.
"Hey Michal...and fine, I'll get up. Can I commandeer thid pretty nurse too?"
The nurse giggled and helped Jeremy up, and showed him where to get cleaned up. In a fresh Order uniform, and cleaned up, he and the nurse started to move to the bridge.
Inquisitor's Bridge
Jeremy stepped onto the bridge.
"I'm back. Hold the applause."
Jeremy cracked a tired smile.
"Lets talk, then I will sleep. Preferable not alone. And joking."
The nurse rolled her eyes. Jeremy stepped up to Golanski.
"Ask away please, and in regards to the Sarissa... I was trying to save a life, and we leave it at that old friend."
Jeremy leaned against the wall, the nurse checking an arm computer towatch his vital signs.
Bridge was quite big, with view on enormous hull of Juggernaut. Golanski was standing on bridge, investigating rifle that was found in pod with Jeremy.
Interesting gun that thing is, Coalition's job. Simple but does it's job.
He turned towards Hunter.
You used quite a ammount of fuel, sacrified one bomber and assembled small fleet. I do want to hope that was neccesary and worth it?
"I saw that peice of crap called Social Credit. I saw the Arch Storm... I saw an artifact that strengthens the connection with the Mindshare...and its not Mandate of Heaven anymore. Its Ahkraziel."
Jeremy closed his eyes.
"I connected to the Mindshare."
Jeremy reiterated the entire experience and his conversatiin with Iruel.
"Michak, Chamberlain aiint as stubborn, nor such an arrogant bastard. Guy kept saying we will,be euthanized, said more and more factions see and turn against us..."
Jeremy stepped up to Michal.
"Oh, and a message from the Coalition.
Jeremy slugged Michal in the arm.
"They said the face. Sadly, Benford ain't here."
Jeremy stepped back. He sighed.
"At first I wanted try and get us,to leave the Aoi alones...but Iruel was to arrogant and holier-than-thou. He can kiss my arse "
Jeremy leaned against the wall and closed his eyes again.
You would not survive Benford's reaction. We are not naming her a bloody Benford without a reason. I do through understand their little joke. I was not a admiral responsible for this, not even was one when it happened. We should not get into alliance with them in the first place. But I was no one important yet while others allied themselves with the commies. You see, they are terrorists - they do hold grudge against rest of humanity for something that happened over 800 years ago. I doubt original Coalition was communist at all. And now they allied themselves with infectees... do they are aware who they are dealing with?
"All I know is that the Aoi said the Coalition, would fall...why fight two fronts? Instead, join, take down one front, and then, come back and fight eachother."
Jeremy sighed.
"Mike, you know what I have survived through. I can survive bloody Benford. I survived Ahkraziel...oh, and warriors armed with blades pop out of the walls. A right Ship of Horrors..."
