Looks sorta like a bounty hunter ship that got knocked over. I love the model, but the engines look a little weird. The exhaust port seems to be curving, but it's not too bad. Good work!
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
Random question, did anyone check to see if the Arrow is faster (top speed wise) than the average LF?
On subject, good madel! Don't know what faction that would fit, but do all ships have to fit a faction? What faction does the Crow fit into? It may be manufactured by a specific faction (IMG, GMG, etc...) but may designed for the random freelancer or mercenary. This type of thought does not, of course, work on capital ships, but with light fighters I think it works. Of course you can't make it so good that everyone and their grandmother uses it.

By that do you mean the rear exhaust ports? Cause I think thats the best part of the ship. Lots of ships have a great frontal profile but the rear (the part I'm gonna stare at most of the time anyway) looks crap mostly. This one has a gorgeous rear and looks functional too. Imagine a ship that needs to fly fast... big engines right? Big engine means big burn out the rear means lots of exhaust.
If anyone wants to talk about unfreelancerish then maybe we ought to get rid of all the Homeworld ships and the BSG stuff and the Spatial (cause thats Star wars) along with the rest of the star wars stuff.
Disco needs to retain the classic freelancer feel, but that doesn't mean everything has to be a reiteration of the vanilla game.
I don't want block boring unsexy designs. I want it to look scary and dangerous. Know why I like the Raven's Talon so much? Cause it looks like a raven's freaking talon. And AoM is totally right about the psychological side to it too. Anyone know anything about the Joint Strike Fighter program competition? It was a competition between Boeing and Lockheed Martin to create the JSF fighter for the next gen for lots of the modern militaries. They made two very functional ones. One was ugly and functional, the other was gorgeous, followed traditional beautiful lines and it won.
Looks are actually a factor when they pick technology sometimes. Plus its a game guys... why do we want to see a model that is gorgeous with lots of doo-hickys on it that dont serve a function so that we can dumb it down to make it look like a ship made in a game from 5 years ago? Isn't the whole point of this mod to keep the game fresh? Why do we want to limit ourselves to the creative potential of devs from a less interesting time?
EDIT. Oh and this is a game called FREElancer. Why does everything need a faction to tie it down? Isn't the real spirit of vanilla FL to be a wandering unassociated person?
Small update for you so as not to lose hope, mapping is partially complete and should be done within the next two days assuming nothing comes up in my perosnal life. After that I should be able to begin work on the proper textures.
For anyone who hadn't noticed I settled on the name "Marzoruki Interceptor". I might start work on an info card for it if I have time also. Thats all for now, as always your support is most welcome.
Partially completed unwrap of the newly chrstened Marzoruki Interceptor.
Might be a bit biased as the fighter is named after one of my characters, but I love it! In all seriousness I liked the design before it was ever named and I thought it'd be a VHF. All in all a great design ask the drool I'm wiping away:P
Ok I think that the ship looks more like the tempest from starlancer.
No I never played it but I have the ship pictures.

Been here since Discovery 4.77 (lurk mode engaged)
Zapp Wrote:I have recently met and discussed with Atalawohisdi the trader that flies the Caribe. Just so everyone knows, I engaged in Sigma 13. He flies through half the system before going back to New Berlin, where he cruises from one side of the system to the other, hugging the sun as close as he can. All the while, he flies near Battleships trying to scrape me off. I finally send out the white flag, and move back to Sigma 13. However, it was a ruse, and he bit. Knowing his trade route, I interdicted the trade lane and the chase began anew. It ended, an hour after it began, with me retreating, out of Countermeasures and getting very irritated.
He kept boasting how he has never been caught; I'd like to see him beat until he begs to pay, then beaten some more.
