No need to shout. They can and do die.

Is there any one in particular you think should be "encouraged" to die sooner rather than later?

Standards for activity and roleplay for official factions need to be raised drastically if this policy and the one-faction-per-ID rule are kept in place. My statement was about factions in general. Inactive factions do not deserve to be official, and forum posts do not count as activity. 30 hours a month does not count as activity either.

What level would you suggest?

More like 300 to 400 combined play hours a month. Think it's ridiculous? This is no problem for 15 members who play an hour a day.

Better to have no official faction for a given NPC faction than to have an inactive one. They have the power to recruit on these boards. Why can't they make 300 play-hour months happen? The server is capable of delivering roughly 200*24*30 = 144,000 play-hours per month. Realistically, only about 72,000 play-hours are used each month, but a faction should use at least a significant fraction of that to be considered "official." 300 is not that much in the whole scheme of things. Factions: can't get to 300 hours per month? Improve your recruiting policy (after all, you do get that "perk") and stop alienating independents with stupid policies.

Many have few characters they like to roleplay. If I have 60 minutes to play, I will not always play 60 of them as IC| trader. I do wish to pirate a bit. So think before you post?

What if I don't want to? Am I bound to play only one character? Think before you post.

Even if I have indies, not factions, it means that by playing them, I steal time from playtime as official character.

That's insane. I have better solution. If you don't like current regulations, stop playing here. You'll save precious time.

Ignoring Ingenious because honestly his suggestions are well...I can't say it because it is insulting.

Athenian mentioned that many unofficial factions have been clever in having their own message dump, ones that the admins and moderators have allowed. I think that the same could be allowed for unofficial factions, though keep all of it within role play (official factions sometimes have ooRP recruitment threads).

Have a bar in the watering hole area or a story in the Story and Bio section. It would be a great way to display their role play abilities.

Yes, well, my thoughts on the,OP....

Let them have recruitment threads in the,Unoffical Faction Section. Then pinn a notice that sayss to this effect,

"This is for Unoffical Groups. They do not have any of the Faction Rights that Offical Factions possess (<link the,Offical Faction rightd>, Message Dump, and ability to gain a CAUVIII).

Let them. Some have,good ideas, and having,to ask around, is hard when you are not on all the time.
