So I just came back to playing Discovery after a pretty long absence and one of the first things I see is a Unione Corse gunboat sitting in New York while almost no-one kicks up a fuss... He then tells me that the Corse can now go pretty much anywhere.

I've done a quick look about on the forums and can't find anything other then the opening of Gallia thread.

Can someone explain what the deal is if I want to take my Corse fighter on a tour of Sirius? Where can I go? What can I do? Where can and can't I land? Who can I shoot? And so forth...

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure he misread it. Sirius is only open to Gallic traders and escorts, so I guess it would be okay if he was escorting a tradeship?

So Gallic Unlawfuls are still restricted to Gallia?

Because I've seen a few examples in my short time back of Gallic unlawfuls operating way out of Gallic space and they don't seem to be getting into any trouble for it.

Gallic Unlawfuls can expore and pirate the entirety of the Taus, aswell as rob people on the edges of Bretonia and Kusari. A Union Corse chilling in NY should be warned for 6.10, shouldn't be there.

Are you certain about that? Or was it implied in the opening up of Gallia to Sirians and vice versa that unlawful factions gain an extra degree of freedom alongside the lawful corporations?

Actually, as far as I'm aware, he should only be there if he's either trading/smuggling or escorting a trader/smuggler. AFAIK, unlawfuls have the same liberty at trading as the corporations do.

So in theory, the Unione Corse could operate all over Sirius as smugglers? Including escorts and the like?

You shouldn't think about what you CAN do, but what a Corse member SHOULD be doing.

I know exactly what the Corse SHOULD be doing, but that doesn't always match what the rules say we can do.

Personally I see no reason the Corse shouldn't be expanding their operations into Sirius. With the relaxing of the border, it seems only natural that the Corse would exploit that. In RP terms I don't see why I shouldn't be able to band together with some other Corse and start muscling in on smuggling operations in Liberty or Rhienland or wherever. At the moment though, I don't know whether that will get me warned or whether the admins find it acceptable.

I've got as far as Magellan with my Corse fighter and had a converstation with a Corse gunboat out there about setting up 'legitimate transport operations' in the area and so far no-one has batted an eyelid. But it only takes someone telling an admin and we might fall foul of the rules over a misunderstanding. That's why I'm looking for clarification.

Actually, that Corse you saw was myself. I was going to ask about this, but it seems you beet me to it.

Personally, my RP is that some bad stuff went down in Gallia and my famille has been hunted down, so we left for Sirius till things cool down. I really can't see why UC can't go to Sirius to start setting up relations.
