Ok, so I have had a problem with a ex-member from my faction, who has taken it upon himself to mess with our shared ships by changing the settings on it with malicious intent.
Isn't that against the rules?

Not at all. Shared ship stuff is faction problem till it doesn't harm the server game-play.
What you mean about changing the settings anyway? Changing the ship account code ? Or changing the ship controls/Name/load-out?
In both cases it is not admin stuff except if he deletes ships.

Ontopic, I do it all the time with faction ships. I remove the timestamp on chats because they are annoying. I suppose in this same way this member could change the settings on your ships because you are annoying.
My account, my ship. Now you are not helping things Ross, so how about you get lost please? k? k.

No, making the fonts and excetera so its impossible to talk in group or even send messages ingame that are not commands (/g and stuff do not work now)

Well if you just move all ships to new accounts you will solve the problem. Other option is just to adjust the ship to your preferences before flying it and then give it back to basic preferences. I for example use big font and bold letters since I play on 24" some people fly the same shared ship on 19" and I just adjust the ship every-time when I use it it takes 30 seconds. If it is ex-member just change the codes. If it is your personal ship then it should not be shared, if it is shared then it is not your personal one - common logic. Note that I edited my first post. Deleting shared faction ships counts as harming the game-play in case where the faction member that deleted the ship didn't bought it, otherwise it is np.

I was planning on moving them to new accts anyway to prevent them being ****ed with again, fixed the problem, thanks.

I don't think you'd really have a case with the admins unless your troubleson ex-member actually deleted the ships in question. An example of that would be Niezck / that dancing fox guy. He deleted the Rogue's bank ships, destroying several billion shared credits. He got a permaban for that and trolling.
So ya. Just change the codes or deal with it, I guess.

However, admins won't deal with it unless it is an extremely large case such as that... A bank character containing several billion of an official faction where the perpetrator is clearly visible is a completely different story from that of an unofficial faction's repair ship and a couple of bombers.
Yep - shared ships (unless it's something really big, like a bank or two) are on you as the user. You don't like who's using them or abusing them, move them. The admin team has stated that they won't do squat about it.

Investigating unauthorised changes to shared accounts takes a lot of effort and it can be very hard to determine who is right and wrong.
As a result, the admin team will not get involved in disputes related to shared accounts. If you share your account ID with other people it is your problem if unauthorised changes are made to the account and the admin team will not investigate reports related to shared account access.
If you are not sure about the security of your account, please create a new one and use the /movechar command (see /help for more info).
