Sales in cruise disruptors would rise violently.

Heavy missiles don't work that well on big ships because if something travels behind the missile it loses track of its target (I'm not sure if this applies to all missiles).

If you're looking for megadeathweapons, maybe a battleship forward gun would work better?

Oh yeah... cruise disrupters... meh.

Battleship forward guns? Lame, imo. I like projectile weapons more, simply because they are underused on Disco.

I always thought that this was a cool implementation of Cap Weapons.

That youtube link it old but I hope its put in none the less, as on topic.

No. Just because thats not in any way RP. The balance would be screwed up so bad and I just dont see why you would need it.

Please do explain why balance would be screwed up so bad.

Cheers.

I'm not commenting on this idea until I see initial thoughts of both sides.

Only regarding #1

Make it not passing through Shields and let it have a incomming missle warning.

Then it would be ok cuz you can simply stop it with a single CD.

But the community anyways dun wants such "cap torpedos"

posted such a thread a bit ago which was very very similar to your idea.

What I think would be a cool addition, in the vein of the vertical torps and cap torps, are close-range, slow, broadside-style cap torps a la the capital ship fights in Starlancer. Sort of close and dirty capship knife fights. Admittedly, I just have a fondness for Starlancer, but hey.:P
