Holding a knife to the kittens throat with his crazy eyes (well, and a knife) he wordlessly dares people to follow him at kitty's peril as he slowly steps backward, returning into the shadows of left field while 5 versions of Landslide echo within the stadium through the PA system::
I understand and agree with what Joe is trying to convey, however, to ignore or downplay the role play of others who are playing these people is well....lunacy.
You want to say they are not playing extremist and they are only chanting Yalalalalallaalal while playing passive character? I don't buy it. I do not know what the word or chant or whatever it is means, but do not insult my intelligence. They are playing an extremist character and chanting something Americans only know to be done by those who are extremists. It has nothing to do with race, but an extreme idealogy of some.
I will leave you with this image. On 9-11, these so called extremist or passive peaceful people danced in the streets of every country they live in while over 3000 Americans died.
Don't any of you in this community ever tell me that what some are doing here (RP) is not offensive or that they do not mean anything by it. That they are having fun. Well, I for one don't find it funny. Period.
Let me ask this of the community. How would you all feel if someone started a faction based upon the Klu Klux Klan? Thinly veiled, using terms that are inconsiderate/offensive, told that you misunderstood what the word(s) mean, and also told that no racial overtone was ever in their RP?

Things like this make me think "Why in God's name am I bashing the Americans and English so much?", I do feel bad after thinking about it, though I'd never in a million years physically assault someone for their ethnicity, I'm technically a minority to some.
I do hope you boys recover, and I've never had may foreign friends, I am with a Nepalese boy, great guy.

People RPing killing people while doing it (or posting nothing else in a troll post on the forums) are just out to be trolls.

I can RP god if I wanted it, would I be a troll or, would I be trying to hurt someone by doing it? The answer is no.
It's not that they are RPing terrorist, suicide bombers, cannibals, ghosts, furries (well, hard one:P), god, homer simpson, buggbunny (furry again). It's the other players saying "You can't do that", and even more, it's the other players saying "They play that because they try to piss everybody off, they do that because they hate Iraq/USA/japan/Germany"
Play the Ku Klux Klan if you want it, play it well. That you want to play that is not the problem, is people (like you) that are going to think "hey, they hate black people" or "hey, they are real racists"... or funnier "they hate the ku klux klan" I wonder who doesn't.

The problem here is not the people playing a character, is the people thinking that the guy playing that character does it because of real hatred. C'mon...
We play characters because we like them, not to piss off people, and those who play a character to piss off people... I think they are not in this community for the right reasons.
If anyone is feeling offended by someone else, there are many ways to approach to the problem without falling into aggresions.
There are three options when a problem arrise:
a_ The worst, ignore it, being careless, not helping, doing nothing.
b_ The wrongful (if it's not a word, my bad), yelling, NO U contests, hate.
c_ The not so wrongful, discussing about it with maturity, talking, even... laughing.
Anyway, I'm off.
PS: Heh, except for those with english as first language... the rest of us are racists... we learned a new language to make sure everyone understand our insults.
