Why would Mollies leave Dublin and find other sources of work?

Counter-question: Why do so many immigrants flock to countries where they can find high(comparatively)-wage jobs and advancement with a greatly lessened fear of torture, dismemberment or spontaneously exploding?

You ought to see how much money the Reavers make, for example. That'd help fund a few Molly Dreadnoughts..

I would like too see you flying around where mollys do, protecting them, helping them in fights and such. That as your primary thing to do, second to go around kill stuff to earn money mentioned earlier.

Work a deal with [M]/MMC they can't post blanket bounties, but they can post bounties in general. So mine suggestion is, being 1. Molly helper 2. Merc for your own pocket etc...

Otherwise as I said, it would only be a merc group with ties to mollys made over skype. Support it with some work and RP and I will love it.

That was the plan. It's still not fleshed out though, I just wrote it up yesterday, we hammered through it today over Skype, we'll see what comes with it.

As I said in Skype- I Agree with Primitive- as far as it fits the Molly RP and works as described by Primitive I am also for it, for me the most important part of it is to bring activity mostly in Molly ZoI-Bretonia,if you want to go somewhere else where to hunt ok but let say 80% of the hunting should be done in Bretonia- helping the Mollys to achieve their RP goals.
And Zapp greyhounds do the job more then well, I doubt that you will take other ship after you try this one- it is just brutal good one.

I would rather they use Pirate line more yeah. We'll see what happens. If 80% of work is going to be in Bretonia, then the Mollys are going to need a board, or we're going to need to fly with Mollys and help them out in person.

EDIT: Another idea is escorting in transports with goods bound for Arranmore from Rogues, Hessians, Junkers, etc.

Its not a bad idea but I do have some reservations with it - See my post in the other thread Zapp but for expediency Ill comment here along similar lines.


The problem with this is that they arent mercenaries, they're Mollies - their ID isn't but they are so essentially the ID change is a way to allow Mollies to leave Molly ZOI and go else where. Thats the part i cant agree with.

The concept is fine in terms of storyline, there is zero reason why you cant do this successfully with a standard repped Mercenary crew. Keep the IFF neutral and the ID merc. Have Molly weapons (with faction - whenever there is one - permission of course), Give yourself Irish names and other Role play ideas. If your crew supports Mollies all the time there will still be Role play consequences obviously but that's part of merc life.


As I said in the other thread re escorting - I dont have a problem with small groups of snub craft escorting Convoys out of ZOI - there is precedent for this on the server (I saw some members of the BPA doing this exact thing yesterday). As long as escorting is what it is and the ships are only fighters and bombers and that it isnt a raid (As has happened with other groups in the past under the claim of "escorting") and folks are staying off the radar.

You mean that Mollys shouldn't leave Dublin? Really?

No, that is so wrong. Mollys should be free-roaming everywhere in Bretonia. The |WD are just to help establishing relationships with factions that are a little bit away from the Molly ZOI - to assist the friendly factions and similar situation.

With the Molly ID you'd probably get sanctioned for 6.10 if you're seen outside Bretonia.

I am negotiating with Atlas on that one, as far as I understand he is the leader of MMC or it is you? I am little confused here.
As for the Merc idea- we want them integrated in the faction, hence the IFF and the faction tag- they will be part of the faction not different group that have access to molly technology there is a huge difference between this two.

You appear to have misunderstood a rhetorical question. I'm saying there are many reasons for the Mollies to leave Dublin in search of work.

After all, look at the Irish exodus.
