As of now I have a Republican Behemoth, but somehow, I find the routes involving Rheinland lacking the necessary profit. So which sector or faction or whatever offers the best and fastest money for traders?

You just have to find the right ones!
High-Temperature Alloys from Leipzig (Dresden system) to the Kusari research base (Kyushu system) gives profit, as well as bringing fertilizers (Frankfurt system) to planet Cambridge and taking back Bio-Neural Processors (to planet Nuremburg).

Trust me, it's not that hard to find good routes if you take yourself some time to EXPLORE the possibilites;)
