I absolutely have no problem if people don't want to fight. A simple PM to me always works. "//Hey man, day was long/I'm in a bad mood/I'm setting up my ship" etc. always works. Simply PM me or anyone else and we will back off, as you said it is just a game, but a bit of courtesy goes a long way.

You get treated how you, or the people that represent you and speak for you, treat others. In this particular case, I treated you/your faction how they treated me and the faction I am in. Now you know how it feels.
