I honestly feel that Cruisers make great escorts but as it was mentioned the ID doesn't allow it. I'm not sure there is any ID that allows a combo of 5k trade and capship useage. But there are several IDs that allow the caps and a more then decent sized transport. In the case of the BHG ID (for AP Manufactuing purposes) it allows the Shire which is kinda a cruiser in itself.
