Nathan Ward naver ceased to be amazed by the efficentcy of the Zoners. What had once been a cargo bay that had stored an ecclectic collection of old ship parts, was now a hangar for Virulian Enclave vessels. A Zoner nodded and smiled to him, Nathan felt panic deep in his gut. He had been recognised. Nathan Nodded to the Zoner and headed out of the hangar and to the bar as quickly as possible. 'Of cource they recognise me I worked here six months ago.' He thought to himself. He had left Bretonia, Leeds and an overbearing milatery family for the Freeport, to work for the Zoners. Here the monster in his head had finally taken over, it fed on his Paranoia and Self Loathing. Crushing his already timid personality beneath the weight of guilt, anxiety and fear. It had cost him his job and nearly his life. The beast had been slumbering in his head, thanks to the Enclave and the Creator but being on the station had made it stir.
It had began to remind him of all the shame, as he entered the bar. That was it Drink, that is what had made the beast quiet last time.....'No I can't give in.' He said to himself. He gripped the bar as hard as he could, hurting his long fingers and ordered tea instead. He saw Tona Criid out of the corner in his eye, in his haste he had missed her. He quickly bowed to his superior 'Your Grace'. His voice came out as Nochlant as he could manage under the circumstances. He had seen her in Gran Canria's Temple, but never spoke to her. She unerved him....no that was not true, evryone unerved the young Acolyte. All of them seemed better somehow and they all seemed to see right through him. 'That is because they can and they are better than you.' Growled the Beast. Nathan sushed it and said, 'I apologise I did not see you there. Forgive my rudeness.' He smiled...the smile made him look as if he had stubbed his toe.
How he hated this place he could not wait until the crisis was over or until the EDF relieved him
