On the note of "Shadows"

We have the Commissariat already, and they are very good at removing defectors. Coalition Civil War or not, you wouldn't have been able to leave.

If you were Katzist you would have been hunted mercilessly across Sirius.

If you were Volkhanist, you would have been Nerve Stapled and thus never even consider leaving the Coalition.

Also the leaders of the Coalition are as follows Aeon, MacIntosh, and Katz

None of whom would grant you your wish.
