Attacks against IMG in O7: Kruger initiates, Mercs attack, RM ignores

An update and it doesn't get prettier, I sadly have to say.

IMG vessels went to intercept the Kruger Hegemon Offenbach, not to attack him, but to find out what had happened.

In the ensuing conversation, the pilot openly admitted to his crimes and showed no remorse or regret.

Kruger|Offenbach: Darwin: I set a merc on you, and I'll do it again should I need to

IMG|Patrol.Ship.Two[D]: Hm, just got rumors that this Kruger killed some more IMG ships shortly before our arrival
IMG|Apollyon: Attacked two, yes. I met them on my way here, they're headed to Dublin now.
Kruger|Offenbach: Darwin: And here I was hoping that wouldn't come up...
IMG|Apollyon: Danny: Why is that?
Kruger|Offenbach: Darwin: The little smart arse thought he could ignore us. he was wrong
IMG|Patrol.Ship.Two[D]: Ignoring you means... that one is shot at and destroyed?

IMG pilots tried to talk to the Commander of Scharnhorst, a Rheinland Cruiser that had been present when the Kruger Commander confessed the crimes mentioned above.

IMG|Apollyon: Danny: Vessel Sharnhorst, the IMG formally requests that this Kruger employee be taken into custody on charges of piracy.

His response was aggravating as the action of the Reichsmarine Commander in the first incident:

Scharnhorst: And I have received no indisputable proof of this miners actions, so I can't act on it.
IMG|Apollyon: Danny: No, we -request- that -you- bring him in on charges of piracy, sir.
IMG|Apollyon: Charges he has pretty much admitted to.
IMG|Patrol.Ship.Two[D]: Why? He admitted using a Merc to attack IMG. He admitted to attacking IMG ships and destyoing them right in front of your bridge.
Scharnhorst: I haven't seen anything like that. All the times I have been here, I have only seen Mr. Offenbach aiding in the defence of rheinland by stopping copper trade to liberty, depriving it of vital resources.
Scharnhorst: Rugen: Anyways, I trust you guys will not go at each others throats. [he leaves]

Again a Navy Commander took the side of the criminals. This time, the criminal admitted his guilt right in the face of the Navy commander, who just denied everything, walked away and returned later to open fire on IMG.


After that, Mr. Fahrenheit turned up in his stolen IMG Hydra. IMG went to intercept and hunt him down for his crimes. The Rheinland cruiser Scharnhorst engaged IMG, as did the Offenbach. IMG never fired a shot on anything but the Hydra callsign Fahrenheit. All IMG ships were damaged or destroyed.


Offenbach again claimed that the criminal works for Kruger.
And Scharnhorst took the side of the criminals that had confessed their deeds just minutes before.

Kruger|Offenbach: Darwin: [IMG is] Attacking an employee of Kruger
Kruger|Offenbach: Darwin: Fahrenheit, you can expect the Offenbach to assist in any way
IMG|Apollyon: Kruger vessel, do not get involved in this. It's the merc we want.
IMG|Apollyon: Destroy that rogue Hydra, ignore the miner.
Scharnhorst: Everybody! Seize fire!
Scharnhorst: Ill give you one more chance img.
IMG|Patrol.Ship.Two[D]: Sir! The Cruiser is firing on us

I will tell you the truth: I am the only Guildmaster that is calling for moderation. There are voices that call for drastic measures after this affront.

I am still willing to talk, but it's Rheinland that needs to come up with good explanations on what has been played during that last weeks.

I state once more that it's not the IMG's intention to fight another conflict in the Omegas, but as you can easily see, there is not much that can be done to avoid violence if Rheinlanders behave as they did today.
