At that very moment a steel grate also slid down in front of the windows. Ten Rheinland Police officers then filed into the room all with blasters drawn and pointed directly at Emilio. It was a trap!
Emilio Torres jumped up from his seat and drew his blaster. "DROP YOUR WEAPON NOW!" yelled one of the officers.
"I dont think so copper." As surprised as he was, his training taught him never to be without a weapon when one is pointed in his direction. "You can kill me, but I guarantee, three of you die first."
Just then an eleventh gentleman, one who appeared to be the superior officer based on the fact that he wore a suit as opposed to the standard issue police uniform. He had no gun drawn. "Put down the gun Mr Torres, no one needs to die here today," he said in a very calm and collected tone of voice. "C'mon put it down. Here how about this... everyone put their guns down." He then places his hand on the top of the blaster of the officer directly to the right of him and pushes it down in the direction of the floor. "All of you, stand down." Every officer in the room then proceeded to holster their weapons.
"There, that's better. Can you put your gun down now Mr Torres?" Even though the gun is now pointed directly at him the officer shows no sign of distress or fear whatsoever. His calmness is almost eerie to Emilio who then proceeds to slowly and reluctantly lower his blaster. "There you go, now slide it over here, and we can just talk. That's it, I just want to talk." Emilio then places the gun on the table and slides it over to the officer. The detective then slowly reaches for the gun and picks it up, handing it to the officer to his right, he then glances over to the officers on the opposite side of table and gives a quick nod of his head.
The officers then remove metal rods from their holsters and press them firmly against the arms of Emilio Torres. He begins to scream as he is shocked into submission. Other officers then come around the edges of the table restraining him against the table and placing his hands behind his back. They are then secured with hand cuffs. At this very moment an anger boils deep inside of Emilio, he cannot believe it has come to this. That anger is quickly replaced by a sadness as he realizes he has been betrayed by his old friend, Alex Cummings. As the officers lift him from the table and firmly place him in the seat behind him, that sadness instantly subsides and an even more intense anger builds inside his soul.
"Emilio Torres, you are hereby under arrest for multiple crimes committed against Rheinland. These crimes include murder, treason, theft, acts of terrorism, artifact smuggling, and overall crimes against the state. You are hereby stripped of all human rights and will face trial for your crimes." He then leans in towards the face of Emilio. "You're gonna burn you worthless piece of s**t. Oh and by the way, we didn't even have to pay Alex to turn you in... In fact, he called us. Whatdaya think of that?" Torres simply replies by spitting in the face of the officer. The detective then responded by punching Emilio square in the jaw. "F***ing scumbag! Get him out of here"
