Ofc, when we say that someone is good or bad, we dont mean irl.

The point is, would Corsairs like/want to change their ways and become a lawful house at the eyes of the other major houses?

It would be painfully hard for them to do so, verging on impossible.
The only real export the Corsairs have is Artefacts, which are illegal in three of the four houses.
If there was a burgeoning legal artefact trade, such might be possible in-rp, however, until such time the Corsairs will have to rely on pirating.
