Sadly I have to inform you, that a Kruger-IFF Vigilante Roc bomber attacked and destroyed IMG ships in the Silver fields in the North of Omega 7.

This is the ship in question: Copper-31, Kruger-IFF, Vigilante ID, Roc Bomber.

This is a short part of the conversation logs. There are visual guncam shots, too, but this here is much easier to read as all background noise has been filtered.

Copper-31: Hey, IMGs, what the hell are you doing in those fields [Silver fields, Northern O7]
IMG|Gamma-2[R]: What do you think, Copper-31? Mining.
IMG|Tony.Shibuya[T]: These fields belong to IMG. We can mine here.
Copper-31: Certain party of people say otherwise.

Copper-31: I am working for a certain group who is gonna make sure you leave this system for good.
IMG|Gamma-2[R]:On whose authority are you threatening us?
Copper-31: Now since you are not going to drop the cargo, I am here to deliver a message.

Copper-31: You will drop the cargo and leave the [Silver] field. It does not belong to you.
Copper-31: Well, check this [the message] out. Prepare to die, scumbag.

I am here to inform you that the IMG will not take these kind of attacks lightly and that we will defend our mining operations against any attackers, even if they fly Kruger-IFF.

We will explicitly not exclude the use of preemptive strikes against the Vigilante ship "Copper-31", as well as against other Vigilante ships that we have to assume hostile after the existence of this extremist group was revealed. We have to assume, Vigilantes are their instruments.

In reality, every potentially dangerous Vigilante ship (fighters, bombers, gunboats) that approaches an IMG mining operation will be warned to stay at distance, if it closes in, it is considered a valid target for the use of violence in self-defence of the mining operation.

We will however not include all Kruger|-identified ships of any class and also Kruger indepenent, peaceful non-combatant ships (miners, transports, freighters) into the preemptive strike doctrine, as the IMG values the newly restored peace in Omega 7 and wants to further improve its relations with Kruger.

I am aware that it is very hard to control the independet elements, especially the fanatic fringes, so I don't want to exaggerate this bombing to an inappropriate level and I try to limit our response to meet our security requirements: the safety of our miners in Omega 7.

Consequently, I request that Kruger makes it clear once again that it does not condone violence as a means of interacting in the North of Omega 7.


I regret that I cannot report better news, but I think we were aware that setbacks were likely to happen. Let's not let this derail the process that we have already successfully started.
