@deneldo: don t people very often choose a faction cause they like the ship? at least at first - untill they make up their mind and go for a faction first. - but the first thing you see when you re not too used to what the roleplay on the server is about, you go for a ship, i believe.

i don t think it needs a whole new shipclass. gunboats are nice oddities, but don t really need to be put into a class ( so that factions not having one will ask for one ).

ps. i fly a kusari gunboat - but replaced the foreward gun with a lvl8 fighter gun. doesnt make it a "light gunboat" its just a modification. i get less damage, but more sustained damage, cause i can fire it non stop - and the gun has a 360 degrees arc, instead of a 15 degrees foreward arc.
