I got called into action by Kako-sama. Apparently the KNF were spotted in Sigma-19, so I suited up and rendevouzed with him by the Ogashawa. The ships in question had fled to Honshu, so we took a look at the 19, 13, and Okinawa gates, but the KNF were nowhere to be found.
We headed back to 19, where Kako picked up an AFA vessel in the system. We ran off to check, only to find him dock on the Hawaii and disappear off scanners. (Personal Note: Can I have some vacation time? That liner looks like fun.)
We flew back to the Ogashawa, thinking the patrols were over, but suddenly the same KNF pilots from earlier were spotted in Okinawa. Do these guys ever let up? Jeez. We made haste for the gate, and coming through, were immediately greeted with a Kusari Destroyer, and a Chimaera forming a blockade into the system. They were taxing some IMG transport, and despite Kako and I making it clear that he didn't have to pay, he did anyways. Idiot.
The KNF had no intention of leaving, so Kako opened fire. I began attacking the fighter, but ion disturbances made hitting him with my missile systems nearly impossible. I was able to drain his shields and caused a little amount of damage, but he appeared to have the slight upper hand, having more weapons than me, and more powerful shielding systems.
Soon, Sum-sama arrived to assist us in the battle, and the dual bombers got to work on the Destroyer (who was trying quite hard to shoot me, I'd like to add). It was quite the firefight, as you can see by my masterfully taken photos (click me).
The battle progressed expectedly, with the Destroyer taking heavy damage, and the fighter doing his best to fend off the attacking bombers. I was able to land a few good missile salvos into his tail while he chased after Kako and Sum, but I was quite lonely and inneffective for the rest of the battle. Soon enough, the Ebisu burst into flames (click me).
After that, the remaining fighter continued attacking Kako. I fired my missiles here and there, to no real effect, and Sum mostly watched the encounter. After a relatively short dogfight, Mr. Gamo came out on the losing end (click me).
With the hostiles down, and my panties slightly in a bunch (sexy shot, Kako...), we all headed back to base. If you're reading this, Kako-sama, I think we should have drinks sometime, hai?
