Do Bombers suck as much as I think they do?

Igliss do your thing man. We will all rant and rave cause we all want something better done to our ships of choice. and may be I am guilty of that too... I do know that in the end you will give us a good version.

Here is my two cents worth....
I think a balanced mod is where nothing is obsolete and nothing totally dominates. Counterbalance to everything is the ultimate goal. Right now bombers can be taken out by decent fighters. But cap ships now have no counter balance except another cap ship.

Now take into consideration factions that are not allowed anything bigger than a gunboat. Are we condemning them to never ever win a scuttle cause they really dont have anything effective against a cap ship ? For example Liberty navy gets together 4 players to attack 4 rogue players. for RP's sake, lets say rogues do not have anything bigger than a GB. Lets say 2 GB 2 bombers .
Liberty attacks with one battleship two cruisers and 1 fighter.

Can you guess who is going to win ?

...and that was my whole point.
