The forefront of all emotions that appeared in Jeremy's eyes was longing. He swirled his water, then rubbed his eyes.
"If I was in constant contact, the possibilty would, yes, be there. But there is none. I cut all ties with Alexis Amelie Hunter and Isabella Arienh Archer more then a year ago. I haven't seen nor even mentioned Izzy since November." Jeremy took a sip of water. "I cut ties to protect them from my mistakes. I won't be contacting them, not again, until Liberty realises that we're not the enemy."
Jeremy drained his water, then pushed the glass away.
"There is no conflict if there is no interest. My interest is Izzy Archer. Not Alexis Hunter. She may be my mother, but she's a big girl; she doesn't need me worrying about her. If you still think I might be a liability, then I have no defense against suspicion."
