New Lusitania

[Lusitano]

*Viriato looks to Joana, she was so beautifull and funny, but wasn't for her good looks that she earned that place on Delta team. But before saying something Viriato remember the day before.

It was somewhere on Gran Canaria, and was the attack on camp 1. After the sucess of camp 3 and 4, on the same night, taking advantage from the bad weather conditions, the attack on camp 1 was ordered, but the plan was changed. The original plan was since it was located on a valley and all prisioners were located on the midle, an infiltradtor team would take the guards and guard the the center of the camp while one armoured convoy would storm from the north and another from the south with fire support from space and above camp, but since there was a big storm and all were inside buildings the new plan was simple, from the south a huge armoured convoy would storm the camp supported by Lusitano, that would burn all north part, and the Caravela that would take all major defences from the south while he Rabelo would give fire support from above. Stike hard and fast was the main tactic. And so it happen, when the heavy rain stpped, an huge fire rain hitted the camp. Many guards didn't even had time to simple awake from their sleep. All was going well, the convoy reaches the center, the some guards are taken by the teams and all prisoners started to enter the trucks, but ... it happend! Viriato was inside of a attack vehicle, he didn't took part of the attack by advise of Joao, to see if the whispers about his actions would end, but he saw it all. While entering a truck, a small children drops a small ball that rolled to some distance, the children immediately went to get it, Joana saw it and went to get the children, but the ball went close to a fallen guard that wasn't death, when she reached the children she took it and the ball but the guard takes his gun and at so close range he fires a shot. Viriato as soon he hearded that sound, he left the vehicle and went to the place where she was fallen, the guard was immediately killed and the children was taked to a truck with his parents. Viriato knelt near the the death body of Joana, he took her him his arms to a truck protected by all members of Delta. When all were in the vehicles, all left the camp and the camp, like all others was burned to the ground.

Few hours later all arrived on New Lusitania, all saved prisoners were accommodated, but a very slow and emotive walk started when the death body of Joana is taken to he hospital, a huge silience was made while she passed carried by members of Delta. Ana went to Viriato, he was speechless, she gave him a kiss and she huged, he huged her back and tears started to fall on his face.

But that was yesterday, and now on board the Lusitano near of one of the suns, the memorial service of Joana began*

- Viriato to all - We could say many things about Joana. how beautifull she was, how funny, how determinated, ... she was speacial to all of us. Few here know her pass before she join us ... it was huge change ... but she will be know for the great bright person that all knew that died for a great cause, and ... i promise that her death will not be vain!*a small emotive pause* Her light will continue to shine on our hearts and her near this star, not in darkess but in the light that will continue to guide us all. Goodbye litle flower *a tear falls* may you rest in the peace that you wanted ... and i failed to give you!

* Viriato kisses the forehead and closes the casket. Viriato moves away to Ana, she embraces him, and the religiouss ceremony continues, after that, all members of Delta teams make the last tribute, and prepare her casket to be lauch to the star. After the lauch, all were watching the small casket reaching the sun corona and become like a small bright star. The memorial ended and all went to New Lusitania.*
