Captain Kirk worked his way up in the Dark Side, managing to make him powerful enough to promote Mr. Spock to a point where he could get near the fusion reactors on the Death Star, upon which, he Vulcan Nerve Pinched engineer of the reactors, causing him to collapse on the control panel of said reactors, causing him to hit the button that shut down the cooling systems for the Fusion Reactors, causing a big boom...
Skywalker had nothing to do with the boom boom, he just went because he both wanted revenge, and to impress Princess Leia.:rolleyes:
