All Vanilla ships are destructable in terms of the single parts of it. So you can rip apart the two wings of an Eagle or something else at other ships. I think these parts of the ships, the Vanilla models, are own units of the ship, independent from it. If you hit a wing of an Eagle, for example, the HP of the ship takes damage but also the wing. That's the difference between Vanilla ships and the Disco ships....while the Vanilla models have these seperate units of course I am not sure about the Disco models. If you switch to the target view at your target list then you can click the seperate parts of a ship. So far as I know that's only implemented for the Vanilla objects yet. But I am not sure about that.
