I too agree about what Korrd said.
Something should be done about them.

And I don't really mind your suggestion, f2k, except the part about giving the BS lvl 9 or 8 secondary/tertiary mounts. Do you want to make some BS lvl 9/8 weapons?
That would just mean that other ships would love to get their hands on such weapons. Unless of course they use a million energy or so to fire per weapon.

And besides that, why do you want to compare them with real life BSs? This game isn't reallife. Never have been.
In other spacesimulation games (at least all of those I've played), BSs are meant to deal with normal fighters. And other BSs. Actually they're usually able to deal with everything. So if you want to compare Freelancer BSs, then I say compare them with other games BSs (or equivalent).
