Alonso brightened. He hoped too. Hope... Hope was something he never had enough. "I hope to learn to hope someday" he thought and smiled at that thought. Right, wrong... He didn't doubt. It was his choice, choice he always thought was right, path he chose to walk on and fight, fight and never give up. And to learn on it. And with pain. Pain... Somebody said pain being the best teacher. Only if it wasn't so persistent.
"But it forges us into who we are" Alonso heard the voice behind his back.
"Lucian, hey my old friend!" Alonso greeted.
"Talking with this paper rat again?" Lucian asked. As if he didn't know what Alonso would say.
"Lucian, you are impossible. Senorita Mitsuko Lin is a Liaison Officer, not a paper ra..." Alonso nearly jumped up. Lucian was making him crazy.
"It was a joke, Alonso. You are impossible."
They looked at each other and laughed.
