The Hollidays took a few minutes to settle into their room. After Midori re-assured her husband that she would be fine for a little while, they ventured back into the crowd. Doc wasn't used to these kinds of parties. Normally, he knew those around him quite well. Today, he felt like a stranger. His reputation and work were well known but many had never physically seen him. Still, he sat at a small table with his wife eating some hour'douvers (sp) and each enjoying a drink of choice, Doc a glass of brandy and Midori her favorite, Gallic wine.
It was a special time for them as they hadn't been out together for awhile since the birth of the twins. As they sat, they discussed them as they still hadn't decided on names for the two infants still in incubators at Canaria Medical. Despite the on goings around him and his conversing with his wife, he was still aware of what was going on around him.
