[Buster Commodore]

Day 27, Lab 3, The Nonsense Factory, Cassini system, 6:25pm

Buster entered the lab, beginning to feel the sudden kick start from the narcodin. He gazed at the giant Mark
V Engine in the center of the room, his engineers checking it over to make sure the slaves didnt slack off and
leave a bolt loose somewhere. everything seemed to be in order. Buster walked up to the giant engine and
placed one metallic hand on its frame. Come on, baby, work this time okay? he thought to himself. He turned
to Ranaud. "fire it up" he said, a sudden strength in his voice, a combination of excitement and the drugs.
Ranaud moved over to a large square panel of Dials and buttons. he pulled back the glass casing over the
Ignition button and pressed it. The engine whirred to life, slowly at first and then picked up, the sound of the
power core was deafening in such an isolated space but Buster was used to it now. The engine hiccuped a little
but kept running. the large anchors attached to the engine rattled but held on as the engine tried to push
forward. It was working, roughly, But working. "alright, Shut it off" Buster yelled to Ranaud. The engine whined
down with a low whizzing sound and then sat dormant. "We need to tweak it a little, its gotta push alot of Metal
and its rather weak right now. Bore out the Fuel Injectors and increase the polarity of the Drive module by 600
CP. Also, check the integrity of the Cryocube in the Cooling manifold and make sure all connections in the
wiring are stable and grounded" this was it. some small tweaks and then they would retest.


The engineers got to work. Buster walked to the lounge and got a cup of coffee and lit a cigarette. He hoped that
this was it. The engine complete, to Lord Moka's specifications. He hoped for a promotion but was smart enough
not to push it. he stared out at the clouds and giant asteroids that surrounded TNF, day dreaming about what it
would be like to be Underboss. He sipped his coffee and took one last drag from his cigarette before dousing it
on his boot. He walked in a trance of grandeur back to the lab.
