On the news tonight, Samura have released a statement that they have opened H-Fuel sales to all interested groups within Sirius not engaged in hostilities against the Kusari Empire. This is an unprecedented move by the corporation who has always been seen as a second rate player in the H-Fuel market. Link.
When asked about this Mr Okada was quoted saying.
Arigatou for this question, the Board of Directors at Samura Heavy Industries have been preparing this move for months now and are pleased to finally announce this to the public.
We can not in good faith allow the Gas Miners Guild to use their position to starve the people of Sirius from the goods needed to maintain a stable economy across the various Houses.
An economic tactic of theirs, while raising the price of their H-Fuel considerably, only hurts the free market model that they have always claimed to be upholding.
As such with the recent economic gains enjoyed by Samura's enlarged client base, we have reinvested the capital onto better projects like this.
It has taken a long time for it to show fruition but now that it has, all can benefit.
Do I think that the guild will take steps to stop this free market?
Well of course I do, they have shown time and again that their respect for other groups ceases to exist the moment they think they have something to gain by turning on their so called friends.
Unfortunately for them I do not see how targeting neutral vessels will help their cause in any way.
The Guild's aggression towards Kusari has seemed to be largely vocal in nature and actual incidences against Kusari have been minimal.
Not that they could actually threaten Kusari with their small population.
The Blood Dragons have caused us more damage to the east of Kusari than the guild and we have taken advantage of their relocation of forces, "for unknown reasons to the Sigmas", to expand our operations in good measure.
