Advanced Train doesn't want my Id...

Here's the story

Yesterday, I finally bought an advanced train. yey me! ok, well. I took my usuall load of (note telling), and headed out on my usuall route. I docked somewere on the way since I had to go (log off).
The next day I log on and take off. So while I'm on the trade lanes, I press on the f6's-8's since I have nothing else to do, and I notice my trader ID isn't equipped. I hurry to the closest station and equip it. The, I take off and continue on the way. Guess what? Again, it's not equipped. So now I knew something was up. I docked, equipped it, and just as I has about to take off, I decide to check. It was un-equipped. I equip it, close the window, and re-opn it. It was un-equipped.
This makes no sence, I equip my trader ID, but once I re-open my internal equipment window it shows it as un-equipped. I repeated a few time, and nothing.

Any ideas? I apologize if this has been brought up before, I couldn't find a similar thread. I doubt this is supposed to happen, might be a bug, I don't know, but it sucks not being able to use your trader.
