[font=Microsoft Sans Serif] Legion forces scored another victory in the New York system today. Approximately one and a half hours ago, Task-Force Warhammer received intelligence data off the Pandion suggesting a presence of Navy assets rapidly moving between Texas and New York for no discernible reason.
Fleet Admiral Steele, despite still under recovery from recent events, took command of Warhammer's flagship and rallied present forces to intercept and destroy the Navy detachment.
The first approach was made to Fort Bush, where the hostiles were first encountered. Unfortunately the less-than ideal composition of present assets did not allow for a direct attack, and as such a slow withdrawal towards Colorado began.
After reviewing the tactical situation, the Last Sunrise, under command of Fleet Admiral Montero, was called into action while Fleet Commander Brass relinquished command of the Scylla in favor of the Abaddon. The Damocles, under command of Fleet Captain Dale, served as bait for the Navy assets that were in pursuit, under supervision of Major Kogomi. As the Damocles was on approach to the Colorado jumphole, the Ven'Gyr and all other present forces made their move and emerged from Colorado right into the face of the enemy detachment, consisting of the Dreadnought Marathon, the Battle-cruiser Constellation and the Siege Cruisers "Cpt_Kirk", with the Tortuga and the Pegasus with its pretentious captain lingering in the distance.
Seizing the opportunity presented by the Legion forces being distracted themselves, the Tortuga and Pegasus made a run for the nearest trade-lane leading to Fort Bush. While Legion forces were unable to intercept them, they gave chase.
As a result of a cut trade-lane ring leading to Norfolk, the Siege Cruisers ended up cornered by the Abaddon, Last Sunrise and the Ven'Gyr.
No mercy was given to the Tortuga, and none was given to the Pegasus either as it met its inevitable demise.
Seeing as this - as Marshal Voss' biological self would have called it - "textbook example" of a successful assault operation more than likely alerted all other Navy forces standing-by in case of an emergency, Fleet Admiral Steele issued the RTB-order, not wanting to push the Legion's luck further today.
During the retreat Major Kogomi was reportedly fired at by a Junker at some point in time, but the Major also managed to score her biological self another kill.
As a direct result of this and previous operations, the Fleet Admiral has recommended the biological self of Fleet Commander Markus Brass for the Golden Halo.
Fleet Commander Brass has served the Legion with an utmost dedication and has on occasions too numerous to list come to the aid of other Legion forces in dire situations, with his presence often having ensured an absolute success of an ongoing operation, and more frequently having turned the odds in the Legion's favor during encounters that would otherwise have been hopeless.
Legion High Command approves of Steele's recommendation.
The Fleet Admiral as well has recommended Fleet Captain Guy Dale's biological self for the Golden Leaf.
After a thorough review of the Fleet Captain's service record, my artificial self and the High Command have come to the conclusion that the Fleet Captain indeed is more than eligible for this award. Fleet Captain Dale has ever since his early days in the Legion demonstrated an uncanny ability to quickly adapt to evolving combat situations and make the absolute best out of the possibilities present for his biological self in accordance with the given orders present.
As such the High Command approves of Steele's recommendation here just the same.
At Executive Commander Hunter's behest, the award ceremony will be held aboard the Ven'Gyr on the main hangar deck. The biological selves of all Legionnaires assigned to Task-Force Warhammer who are not on duty are therefore invited to the ceremony, and to partake in the following festivities. Shuttle flights will be arranged by Fleet Admiral Montero.
Furthermore, once the festivities are over Major Wainwright's biological self will begin his new diplomatic assignment in order to possibly establish relations with the notorious Reaver Mercenary Company. As has been announced days ago, the Reavers have ceased and will refrain from any and all hostile actions against the Legion and its allies if present due to the Legion's own covert elements' efforts. Major Wainwright as such has been tasked with "testing the waters" and finding out more about the company's inner workings, goals and motivations as well as possibly establishing a common ground for cooperation.
