Yesterday was my first day of active duty for zhe Rheinland Military and I can truly say I did not expect quite so much action.
Zhe drama started while I was performing some routine Hessian cleanup duties in zhe Dresden system, when an unknwon ship showed up on my scanners. The ships name was, "~FrEeDoM~" and zhit was a Rheinland Pirate cruiser. I approached him with caution as I could see he was firing on something, to my horror it was Military personal. I asked the captain what he was doing as there was not much else I could do in my snub fighter against such a class of villain. He claimed to be doing missions and as I scaned him I noticed he was not carrying any papers. Zhis man was also firing an zhe Battleship Altenburg. After a while he finally left zhe system, I managed to recover some of our brothers but not all... Zhe Battleship also appeared to have no damage.
Just as I was about to dock with zhe Battleship I received comms request from a pilot named, "Steven.Hawk". This man asked if I was piloting a bomber class vessel at zhe time, I asked why and if zhere was trouble. He said that he just wanted a SNAC gun. I was quite shocked at zhis request as a SNAC is an extremly poerful piece of hardware. I informed zhe man that zhe Rheinland Military does not just hand over such weapons to whoever wants them. He told me that he was a skilled Freelancer, but he was Neutral towards my ship and in turn to zhe vaderland. I declined his off and he went on his way. I have zhe comms log in my ships storage if anyone would like proof.
While on my way back to Dresden I received a closed comms request from other Rheinland Military personal. I was instructed to meet up with them as we were going to do a patrol. As we started Ge.Alois.Dermen got word of a pirate presence within zhe Omega-7 system. Zhe Military wing then proceeded to Omega-7 where we evetually located this pirate. It was a Hessian in a gunboat class vessel. Our forces stated that he was an enemy of zhe Rhein and was to be terminated, we then opened fire on zhe vessel. This was when Major Joachim Landers instructed all our forces to cease fire apart from myself. Zhe Major wanted to see if I could handle it. I bombarded zhe threat with missiles and a rain of gun fire. With some slight help I am very proud to say I succeeded in zhe Major's test.
We then proceeded to zhe guard system of Braunschweig where we would undergo a training session. Zhe first part of zhe training involved one on one dog fights. I was itructed to go against Gefreiter Alois Dermen. We fought for what felt like a long time, with zhe Gefreiter proving to be victorious. He then kindly offered some advice and tips, which I took notes on. The second part involved zhe "pit' session. I had never heard of it before. Some how I manged to be zhe last man standing after Leutnant Larissa Schmitt was, with zhe help of zhe local forces which were for some reason firing on zhe Leutnant, disabled.
Once zhe training was finished we received a distress call from a Kishiro transport. We proceeded to his location and several Hessian ships were eliminated.
All in all zhis was a really succeesful first day of active duty for Rheinland. I only hope to continue is zhis manner.
