subject: Defense report

While in Kuyshu system I received reports of sightings of a strange ship that slipped in and out of radar range of Kusari bases around. I realized that it must be a Bretonian spy craft ... after a while I found the ship near Tsushima depot. It was of the civilian Arrow class with Bretonian markings.

The enemy was much more agile than my Chimaera which made targeting difficult, nevertheless I was able to destroy the ship along with the recorded data after a short fight. The destroyed craft didn't manage to send out any transmission.

After refueling and rearming my craft on the Nagumo, I flew to Tau31 system to inspect our troops facing the Bretonian enemy. When I entered the system I received a transmission from a Destroyer captain at the Leeds jump gate. He said a fight was going on nearby.

I flew at best speed to the jump gate and found 2 IMG (BSG) fighters fighting 1 Bretonian and 1 Blood Dragon fighter. I noticed that a new Bretonian fighter came and joined the fight just as I did. A furious battle started.

After a few minutes of fighting a Bretonian Battleships call sign [QCO] Pendragon appeared. Faced with this kind of firepower we retreated to the Nagasaki and waited for reinforcements. The Bretonians came and laid siege to the Nagasaki but they couldn't match her firepower.

The Bretonian Battleship retreated out of Nagasaki's gun range and started bombardment of the Holman outpost. This resulted in furious chatter on all frequencies some of which was intercepted by 2 Gaian ships that came to assist. Just as we were planning our next move under the cover of Nagasaki's guns a Corsair Dreadnought came out of the trade lane just behind the Bretonian Battleship.

We saw our opportunity and attacked the Bretonian BS with everything we had. That kind of firepower proved to much for the Pendragon's armor to cope with and her hull gave away:

During this fight the remaining Bretonian vessels and the Blood Dragon disappeared. I thanked the Corsair for help but instructed him to leave the area at once. Just as he was engaging his cruise engines 2 Bounty Hunter Battlecruisers disrupted him and destroyed the ship.

I thanked the Gaian and IMG vessels for help and landed to inspect damage on the Nagasaki. It looks like no major components were severely damaged, so it can continue its duty in protecting the area. Reports about the damage on the Holman outpost are first now starting to come in, but it appears that it can be repaired.
