Flieger Verner dropped his flight bag on his bed and got down on his hands and toes. He had just gone through

a training course with Feldwebel weiss and he owed the man 300 pushups for mistakes. 1...2....3....4....

Verners mind started to wander. how could he be so incompetent to have his bergelmir destroyed the first day

he flew it. insurance covered it and it was replaced within hours but still, he had to be more careful.

38....39.....40....41... and what was up with gefreiter Franck earlier? she ran into him at full speed and didnt

even apologize. He almost burned her eye out with his cigerette, at least she smelled good... 91....92....93....

Verner broke 100 and stood up to take a break.


He really needed a friend. someone to talk to, to compete with. he couldnt afford to fall behind. It was almost

time for him to be considered for promotion to Gefreiter. he couldnt keep messing up. He got back down.

101...102....103.... he began to sweat. sure, this military thing was hard, but he deep down believed it was

what he was looking for, he just had to give it time and everything would get easier. all of his reports were

finished, training complete, he was surprised Feldwebel Weiss even passed him. 171....172....173.... his arms

shook with exhaustion and he was forced to get up. he stretched his shoulders and cracked his neck, taking a

long drink from his canteen. the night was still young but he hated that he had nothing to do, except for these

damn pushups anyway. He decided to head to the Mess Hall for some chow.
