That's why Jinx was working on replacing it, to make it more fitting. He posted Replacements left and right. I don't know if it'll be replaced with the next update or not. I only know that People were working on it. Just because there's one Mistake in the Shipline it doesn't give a Reason to add another Mistake.

To be honest, the Orca should be a civilian Gunboat, much like the Kusari Civilian Gunboat.

I happen to think it's actually one of the nicer models (engines are nicely done, and turret placement is well thought out for balance [although the forward gun is bad]). But as everybody says it does not look anything like a BH ship. This is beneficial to me since it takes a moment for the unlawfuls to realize who I am (haha), but yeah that's what makes it bad design.

The Orca fillls an artificial need. BH has the Bottlenose gunship for fighter and bomber combat, but it is way too weak to fight gunboats or unlawful capital ships (ie Rogue Destroyer). The Thresher destroyer is good for small caps, but it belongs to Core and cannot be used against unlawfuls in lawful space. Orca is a mid-level gunboat (good shape and power but limited weapon options). Technically the Orca also belongs to Core (only available there) although it is allowed in house space. So basically you have to take the Orca if you want to fight criminal gunboats in the lawful sectors.

Supposedly, Core is going to be fully split from BH at some point (maybe 4.86?) so the Thresher and larger ships are all going away, and those can split off into their own design thread. I think this makes a good opportunity to craft an appropriate large gunboat for the BH, something that is a little stronger than the Orca and able to hold up to a Rogue Destroyer for more than 15 seconds. Perhaps the Thresher model can be used for this since it's basically a large gunboat already, and then the Thresher can get a new model that gives it similar visual clues as the larger Core ships, which are sleeker and more cylindrical anyway.

So that's my suggestion: give the Orca to Core so they have a gunboat, downsize the Thresher to be the new BH gunboat, and make a new model for Core destroyer. This dolphin-thingy may work well for that.
