I don't shoot all hostile NPCs on sight even when they're red, much less when they're not hostile.

Awhile back I made a suggestion that when equipping the ID of an NPC faction (LSF, Outcast, whatever), it modifies all the factions listed as an 'enemy' on the ID to full red. Doesn't change any factions to neutral or friendly, but it makes those that are supposed to be hostile, hostile. I'm guessing this isn't possible due to some stupid hardcode in Freelancer, but could someone confirm that?
