I am also really, really curious about how you hope to hold onto the alliance with Gaia while trying to forge one with bretonia.

As I feel about the matter, Bretonians hate yall. You're the ones who invaded, and so forth, as put forth in this thread. Gaians...have good reason to -still- hate bretiona, and will have new and sundry. They were using -you- the Emporer, and his government, to support their hate of bretonia, and with the pursestrings dried up, I doubt they'll hold on to you..but that is really something that will emerge.

As the document before me states, yes, that may be what the faction believes as of the opening of the Gallic Invasion...but I think you should seriously consider an evolution of positions as it becomes clear to you that A: the bretionans are not likely to soften up, and yeah, they will, even to their own loss, hold grudges on multiple fronts, while, B: the Gaians are going to start wondering what good you are if they have to support you, and not vice versa.


Mostly, what I'm getting at is that this position seems to be an amalgam of two or more, taken from different points of evolution of a story.
At first, you're going to discover, if you hold to that position, that the Gaians cant, and have very little interest in, supporting you. Then you may decide to turn to bretonia, as the story suggests you do, and you're going to discover there that Bretonia is willing to help you only at the most usurous rates. Bretonians will see you as useful because they can put you in the meatgrinders first...

Not the sort of vitriol that could work out pleasantly for you. I expect things should sour on all your fronts.


Myself, I'm fairly excited about the possibilities for this faction, and for indies playing in the same sphere of rp as is possible here. I would very much like to find myself a kusari gunboat and engage in some piracy in Tau, as actions in economic support of the Emporer...but I'm not sure I want to work up to it through your ranking system (which is really the reason for indie caps, that's the role I want to play, not a fighter role, not even the role of a regular in the Ronin..) and I'm not sure my ideas will jive with what you're trying to do.

In fact, I'm not entirely clear on what you're trying to do, aside from shoot gallics. Story wise, I consider it rather one dimensional, but what I've read of it seems to be a single announcement, from one point in time. I think you need to lay out a much clearer path of what you know, in RP, and what will likely happen, that you dont' know In rp, and how, in RP, your faction will discover.

There seems a huge opportunity for this faction, in the months following the update, to engage in storyline that changes and archs and is quite dynamic. That seems very exciting
