New Lusitania

[Lusitano]

* Viriato has on the Rabelo heading to Omicron 74. He was very very tired!! This day was very hard! This was the day on the assault on Thulsa mountain

After months of preparation, yesterday Viraito ordered to deploy all forces on the valley near Thulsa mountain. All teams were present even the armour groups, that inclued 10 battle tanks, 6 artillery pieces, 12 IFV and 20 APC. All were right in front of the mountain, at 5 km. Thulsa didn't had no way to escape but Viriato couldn't order a frontal attack. Not only the mountain was well defended but also about 2000 believers were there, including women and children. Thulsa sended a message:*

- Thulsa - So finally you are here! You wish to surrender to your god?

- Viriato - Surrender?! No! I'm waiting for your surrender.

- Thulsa - A god don't surender! Why you want me?! What i have done to you?!

- Viriato - To me nothing! But to thousands of people you did a lot bad things ! Your time is over! Surender your self and delivery all people that you kidnapped!

* Thulsa looked to his side, where Valerie was*

- Thulsa - I understand now!! She is mine! And you can't have what is mine!

- Viriato - I'm not here only for her! But to all inocent lifes that you took also! Surrender now or i ill kill you!

- Thulsa - NO! You will die by the hands of a true god!

- Joao - Who is she?!

- Viriato - She is the daughter of the one that saved me on Liberty!

* Thulsa came outside, Valerie was in front of him along several children. He spoke to the crowd and all started to run to Viriato's forces. It was a 5 km of a straight terrain. Viriato was on top of the center tank with Joao*

- Joao - Is my impression or he sent all those people against us?!

- Viriato - No is not your impression and all go directly to the mine field that Gamma deployed!

* It was a long run! The weak started to get behind but the most fanatics believers were keep coming and getting closer to the minefield that was just in the midle.*

- Joao - Too bad Afonso isn't here!!

- Viriato - Yes! I fell pity of those technicians that are making the upgrades!!

- Joao - Until i met him, i tought that you were the one that had the worst temper!!

- Viriato - Yep!

* Viriato prepares his long rifle. One heavy rifle that toke so many lifes ... but all deserved not to continue exist. He prepares some armour piercing projectiles, some of the believers were some kind of protection, and gave orders to Delta to take the leaders as soon they get into 2 km! The ones that were leading started entering the mine field, and the mines started to make their job. The type of mine was anti personel, an explosion kills the one that steps and some fragments kill every one that is on a 5 meters radius. Most of th believers stoped ... they were o scared! The one in the front stopeed and started to shout to the others*

- beliver - Come!! Join me! Thulsa will protec us!! FOR THULSA!!

* Viriato aimed that one, he was less than 2,5 km and with a slight wind coming 9 o'clock, it was a easy shot. Viriato takes the shot and very ew moemtns later the believer was falling precisely over a mine that ripped apart his body! The others started to run to the mountain scared. Thulsa was furious, one of the spotter could read what Thulsa was saying, he ordered the guards to shoot all people that was returning, but some refuse to do that, Thulsa killed those who refuse and the others started shooting the believeres to make then return agains Viriato' troops.*

- Viriato - To tank commanders. Take those guns! Nuno shoot all that you can!

- Nuno on board the Rabelo - Ok!

* The precision of the armour priecing projectiles from the tanks started one by one to take those guns nest and the Rabelo, a Conference class ship, also toke most of the guns. The believers gathered all on the botom of the moutain. Thulsa didn't know what to do!*

- Joao - You know that if he goes inside and all that people protectes him .. we will gone have a blood bath!

* Viriato thought for a moment, he changed ammo, to a special bullet. The core was explosive with a small detonator on the tip, around the explosive some very small fragments and then with a very dangerous poison, and only then a thin cover. It was too far, the distance and the elevation was too much for the weapons range but Viriato decided to take the shoot! He aimed .. compensated the wind and the trajectory .. toke a deep breath ... and fired! It only toke some few seconds to reach but it seemed hours. The bullet missed Thulsa just for a centimeter, it even cutted some hairs, but it was a total failure, Behinded Thulsa was one bodyguard, the bullet hitted him and the small impact explosion, made that some fragments hitted Thulsa. Thulsa didn't knew that, we started to shout to the croud that was bellow him!*

- Thulsa - Do you see?! They can kill me! I am a god! Yor god so ... ahh ... so ...

* The poison started to make effect. He started having convulsions and fell over the huge stairs that went from the bottom to the top of his mountain. His body only stoped precisely at the bottom, near the cround of the belivers, or better ... his former believers! All were stunned! The one that they worshiped was a god, was lying dead like any other simple human. All that had weapons layed down, some former believers started to remove the explosives pack that they had to make suicide against Viriato forces. Viriato ordered to all forces to head to the mountain and to Nuno on the rabelo to keep eye on any resistant! When all arrived they didn't saw any sign of agression, but all they saw were a lot of confused and hungry people. Viriato ordered to start bring food and water from New Lusitania, 15 minutes later a Dromedary class ship arrived and Viriato troops started to delivery food rations and water to all, except 2 that went for Valerie. They brought her to Viriato!*

- Viriato - Come! Your father is waiting!

* The Rabelo landed near and they went inside, Viriato ordered to after feeding this crowd, to take then all to the nearest town and when all clear to the Lusitano level the mountain. After this Viriato, Joao and Valerie, headed to Planet Manhattan, New York system! When entering liberty space, Viriato made a call, and only said "I have her". The conference arrived Manhattan, docked and the spaceport and all waited.
After some time an old man arrived surrended by security"

- Old man - Viriato!!! I'm soo glad to see you again! Do you really have her?!

- Viriato - Valerie!

* Covered by Viriato's mantle, Valerie got out the Rabelo and headed to his father!

- Valerie - Father!!! I'm so glad to see you! Please forgive me!!

- Old man - Ohh my child!! It is all right now! * to Viriato * Thank you so much!! How can i pay you. Please say how much!

- Viriato - Money?! I don't want your filthy money! My debt is paid! Never again i want to see you!!

* Viriato returned to the Rabelo closed the door and ordered the return to Gran Canaria.*

- Joao - That was strange!

- Viriato - I don't like traitors. He was one of the councilors that Liberty bribed to get Erie!

- Joao - Oh!! I understand now!

* On his way back, Viraito received a message that all former believers are now safe and Thulsa mountain is now a small hill. But the message also said that Dr. Abel wanted to urgent to speak to him in person. Viriato ordered the new course to Omicron 74.

And that is what is happening now. The Rabelo enters Omicron 74 and signals the Barca, and the Barca gives her location. Few moments later somewhere on the Peloponnese Asteroid Field, contact is made, and soom after Viriato and Joao enter the Barca where Dr. Abel receives then!

- Abel - Greetings! I'm soo glad to see you!

- Viriato - Greetings Doctor! So what's new?!

- Abel - We have another survivor! This one is a total sucess ...well ... almost total!

- Viriato - What do you mean?!

- Abel - Well this one is diferent thatn Franz ... this one really liked to be infected! He still have some problems like Franz, the epilepsy and the drug addiction, but this one have no remorse of what he had done and he is even proud of!

- Viriato - I want to talk to him!

* They go to the cell were he was, Viriato enters first, the survivor attacked him but no luck, Viraito knows very well how defend himself. Joao also enters. The survivor with a bloody nose stands back!*

- Viriato - What is you name?!

- Michael - Michael Schumacher, 1st lieutenant of ...

- Viriato - So Michael ... wie gets?!

- Michael - Ich bien ...

- Viriato - Yes i'm also fine. So what you can say about he Wilde! Ships .. instalations ... defences!!!
