The dentist did his work, replacing the teeth in the woman as she slept. He felt the need to do so before too much healing occurred. New ceramic teeth were placed into her mouth and after a good cleaning, know one noticed the difference. For now though, the woman remained comatose. It was just as well while she recovered.
A quick break in between patients gave Doreen time to grab that coveted cup of coffee. She took it outside where the sun had broke through. She stood opposite a smoking area as she drank it. A weak temptation to light up tugged at her but she just smiled and said "No" out loud to nobody. She was smoke free for well over a year and proud of it. Yes, her life was shaping up nicely.
