' Wrote:Best wishes for you GMG faction, it's one of the most needed factions around, i hope that you succeed and bring new RP elements to the game.
Now, if you're not scorched already from the barrage of incendiary ammunition:laugh:let me add my criticism and suggestions:
Name Gcorp sounds good, but I'd consider something like GTF (GMG Task Force) or GED (GMG Exploration Division) just because it's perhaps more appropriate to the activities you plan on doing.
The RP is interesting but you could put more accent on the merchant aspect of the GMG, they are a powerhouse possibly stronger than Kusari and as facts recall stronger than Rheinland, they mine the Gas but they must maintain the supply chain going, either with their own vessels or with allied distributor companies or groups. So a strong merchant fleet should be an option when running a GMG based faction.
But since you're an expeditionary force, expect the CEO back at Naha to be on your back, always calculating the expedition costs versus potential profit of the operation, if you were a defensive fleet, money would pour. since you would be defending current assets, as an expeditionary fleet your funds are more reduced and the military aspect is not so strong.
On your ranks I'm afraid i must disagree with you, a Corporation would never have such ranks as Tsar or Minister, they would use things like First Official, Trade Delegate or First Class Navigator.
Ships, your choice of ships seems acceptable, but if you're a task force from the GMG to distant systems you'll probably must focus more on light (VHF/Bomber) or medium (Gunboat) ship classes backed up by a large Capital Ship. Because a fleet composed mainly by heavier ships would be hard to repair and refuel without a home base near by, allied bases could help you, but a constant repair/maintenance/refuel of large ships would be very hard on their resources. Also Zoner/GMG ships seems a more appropriate choice, you'll be repairing your ships at Freeports, where Zoners know their own technology and your own engineers know GMG technology, while if you use Kusari ships, they might have some short circuits from time to time due the incomplete knowledge of Kusarian technology by Zoner and GMG engineers
Regarding diplomacy, right now GMG controls the "spice" they only need the means for their distribution. So the allies of the GMG should be the distributors, corporations and groups. Enemies should be the disruptor's of the trade or the extraction process, anyone who doesn't perform these activities, even if they "unlawful" should not be considered an enemy, because the GMG is a corporation, profit is their law.
...and if you please, add the ZR to your neutral tab.
Good luck.
Cheers for the kind words.
The name we currently have fits more(And is extremely long, hence shortened to "GCorp"). The current one is more appropriate because we plan to 'acquire' the resources(Either through diplomatic means, or force if need be.)
I have no comment for the most of this, other then that is true. In the background, I mention the fact that the Org has basically came up with nothing since its been working, proving it to be nothing but a money sink for the GMG. Hence why the expedition out into the Omicron systems will probably be their last.
Ranks, as said before. Tsar is a joke and will be replace with something more appropriate. As for Ministers, I'll consider your suggestions as I do also agree that they fit better.
Right on the money, we plan to have a large fleet of smaller ships backed up by several 'motherships' (Fighters escorting a single gunboat), but if something is actually found out there, a battleship flanked with two destroyers will be deployed to secure the area.
GMG situation in politics is rather complicated, even though nearly every faction requires them, they don't exactly have many friends. Which is why I'll be trying very hard to make allies out in the uncharted systems, to assist in setting up and supplies. As for actual trade, such as moving H-Fuel to the houses. We won't partake in that, it is nothing to do with GCorp and is rather part of GMG's actual operation. Our trade missions will be more of equipment, needed supplies or simply to make extra funds on the side for the corporation.
I'll set you guys to neutral and thank you very much, a post like this is quite a change of pace:)
