You_Wantme's original post made me sigh. Partially because I have trouble understanding part of it (Why call it a "Freak" 50?), and partially because I have some stupid sort of aversion to people who blatantly spell out their interests on the forums in an attempt to get other people to like what they like. But I'm probably reading too much into that, anyway.
Xoria's first post here made me roll my eyes a bit. Pride for being so disconnected from popular culture? Well, whatever floats your boat. I can appreciate that you want to live your life at a distance from the rest of popular culture, but the entire thing seems a bit like "I want to live on my own little island of obscurity and be special." Y'know, kind of hipster-ish.
Joe's post made me frown. Surely he could either voice his opinions about the aforementioned posts in a tone appropriate for these forums, or not mention his qualms at all? Simply implying that he has negative opinions about Xoria's post seems like a pretty passive aggressive way to say "I disagree with your choice of lifestyle". And what does he have against the first post in this thread, anyway? The same silly issues that I have with it? Or is it in the list itself? Does he not agree with You_Wantme's choices for his own favorite songs? I guess I'll never know.
