The Kusari Naval Forces have a long story being first actual power in Kusari that could protect Emperor and Empire borders. From centuries Kusari Naval Forces are the military might of the Kusari, protecting its people and interests.
For a long time we embodied the spirit and passion of the Kusari emperor, our living god. We were enabling his will as poetry in the stars, but our last emperor decided to give up his powers, and now we are under command of Prime minister and minister of Defence.
Even if we no longer have our master, we will remain samurais and will follow all their guidelines, new times brings some changes, but we won't forget who we really are.

Home system - [color=#FFFFFF]Hiroshima.
Being a high security military restricted system Hiroshima is heavily defended by Naval Forces Guards and is considered inviolable space to all except Naval Forces,Samura Industries, State Police and Kishiro Technologies vessels.
It is known the High Command rarely granted this privilege, providing a license, even to some civillian vessels under particular circumstances.

KNF projects itself across Kusari. From Honshu to Kyushu and from Hokkaido to Kepler, Galileo and Sigma-13 (there only staying within range of the jump gate).
On the western front the furthest KNF base is the Battleship Nagumo in Kyushu, defending it from occasional blood dragon raid parties and small outcast wings. It's playing vital role in guarding Kusari ' Gallia border which is settled in Tau-29.
On the eastern front the furthest KNF base is the Battleship Sado in Hiroshima system, it protects not only whole system, but also launches patrols into New Tokyo and Honshu systems to assist police forces.
On the north front the furthest KNF base is the Battleship Matsumoto in Hokkaido. After finishing of construction of Rishiri gate it's playing huge role in defending civilian transports from newly connected systems. Naval ships from Matsumoto patrolling whole space from Hokkaido to Planet Tomioka in Nagano.
On the south front the furthest KNF base is the Battleship Myoko in Shikoku system. Located in strategic position near BHG base to monitore all their activities in Kusari, also launching patrols in to Kepler and Galileo systems, to secure all traffic that are going from or to Kusari.
Naval forces also may be spotted in sigma-sectors providing necessary protection for Kishiro or Samura convoys
Expeditionary interests
After the end of the Kusari-Bretonia war, naval forces finally can focus on more important internal problems. While facing possible second wave of infection, naval forces now desperately focusing on omicrons and on resources and knowledges that are hiding there, to help itself repel new infestation.

After change of government, new leaders decided to reform structure of Naval forces.
First step was disbanding of all existed wings and reforming of main structure of KNF.
Katana Wing were absorbed by regular naval forces, Imperial guard ceased it's existence,
Tokkeitai wing were separated from main KNF body but some of it's previous roles were included in main task of newly formed 66th divison. Exploration Wing were absorbed by new 66th division, that now will be focusing on external intelligence and alien researches.
One of the first build battle cruiser were given to this division, with destroyer escort for deep space research missions. For alien researches 66th division using Fearless class destroyer that were found in omicrons and repaired on Kure shipyard, it's scanner arrays are specifically outfitted to locate alien life on mid and close ranges. 66th division is new defence line of Kusari from aliens and any other ethernal threat . High Command
▪ [color=#CC0000]海軍大将 - Kaigun Taishō(Admiral)
Highest Officer, have a seat in the Council of the Rising Suns, can manage recruitment, training, may lead diplomatic meetings and can grant special operations, have the final word. The Admirals are under direct command of Kusari Emperor himself. Can fly any ship available for the Kusari Naval Forces.
▪海軍中将 - Kaigun Chūjō(Vice-Admiral)
Chūjō are responsible for tactical decisions and a key figure in command bridge on the Kusari battleships. Have a seat in the Council of the Rising Suns, can manage recruitment, training, may lead diplomatic meetings and can grant special operations. Can fly any ship available for the Kusari Naval Forces.
▪海軍少将 - Kaigun Shōshō(Rear-Admiral)
Shōshō reflects all the honor, pride and sense of duty of the Kusari Naval Forces. This rank is the highest rank available and under direct command of the KNFHC.
Can manage recruitment, training, may lead diplomatic meetings and can grant special operations. Can fly any ship available for the Kusari Naval Forces.
Middle Command
▪海軍大佐 - Kaigun Daisa(Captain)
Daisa is the higher position within the Middle Command, they respond directly to the High Command, they have entrusted to lead any squadron in combat. Can manage recruitment, training and may lead diplomatic meetings. Can fly any ship up to the Kusari Battle Cruiser.
▪海軍中佐 - Kaigun Chūsa(Commander)
Can manage recruitment and training. Chūsas are allowed to apply for the title of 'KNF Senior Flight and Combat Instructor', they are experienced pilots in combat, and have accomplished many hours on patrols. Can manage recruitment Can fly any ship up to the Kusari Destroyer.
Low Command
▪海軍少佐 - Kaigun Shōsa (Lieutenant-Commander)
The highest position wihtin the Low Command, they work as a link between the Middle and Low commands. Can fly any ship up to Kusari Gunboat.
▪海軍大尉 - Kaigun Daii(Lieutenant)
Most common rank within Kusari Naval Forces. They can command any officer below their rank. Can fly any ship up to Umibozu.
▪海軍中尉 - Kaigun Chūi(Sub-Lieutenant)
Have received commissioning scroll to act on behalf of the Emperor of Kusari, It's the second step in the Kusari Naval Forces after proven total knowledge of Kusari star maps and Kusari diplomacy. Can fly Chimaera and Umibozu.
▪海軍少尉 - Kaigun Shōi(Ensign)
First step in the Kusari Naval Forces, these pilots are in training, and must develop the Kusari Navigational maps and knowledge of Kusari problematics, before being considered for a promotion. Can fly Chimaera.
