Internal runs between Leon and Skiros or the O94 bases (artifacts to Leon, consumer goods back).

There are possibilities if you look for them. Corsairs aren't a trade faction however, they are primarily pirates.

I had sort of understood from posts made elsewhere on the forums that "trade" was good for Disco as in many ways it encouraged others to play pirates/mercs/escorts/bounty hunters etc. and RP?

Surely restricting the opportunities for Corsairs to trade too severely is detrimental to the game? It limits the RP opportunities of Corsair enemies to the extent that most encounters (if not all), will simply result in shooting at one another?

Corsairs will be restricted in the opportunities they have to escort traders (both Corsair and otherwise) if the destination bases are nearly always hostile.

I would not disagree with a statement to the effect that Corsairs are not primarily a trading faction - however, a society capable of designing, building and maintaining their own battleships is not likely to of acheived that through acts of piracy. It would be too hit and miss with supplies being far too irregular.

I don't think that there should ever really be Corsair "power traders", but there should be the opportunity to trade - as there should be for every one of the larger (inRP) factions. So please can we have some trade runs?
