I only said that my post was not in any way connected to your problem.
If a cop starts shooting on people, because they have a criminal record, that's against the law.
But, again, my post was not a reply to yours.
It was a reply to the main problem of this subject.:)

OK. I view the Smuggler ID as equivalent to a real world criminal record or at least an indicator that the person has a shady past (which the police might know thanks to informants, but not be able to prove). Unfortunately, some "lawful" players think that the Smuggler ID is a license to KOS.

I've taken the subject personally, because it affects one of my characters. However, I think it should concern anybody who ever carries contraband, which would account for many, if not most, players.
