When was the last time he saw her?
One year? Two years?
He sighed and bowed to reach a bottle of old vodka. Pouring the beverage in a glass, he asked "So you're back, lass... You missed this place too much hmmm? Or did you come back to pay me back all the flax you borrowed when you left?"
The girl accepted the glass and bottomed it up in a blink. She then stuck out her tongue. "Whoooo! Ages i didn't drink coalition vodka!" She said, giggling.
She then handed him the glass, whispering :"Again!" Mord didn't make any remark and refilled the glass.
He then patiently watched her sipping the vodka, slowly this time.
When she finished, she stretched and, beaming, she yelled. "You're not funny! You were supposed to ask me again!" "Hmmm"replied Mord, almost repressing successfully a smile. He was affecting to be busy cleaning the glasses that were left empty on the counter.
He knew the easiest was to pretend to not be interested.
She finally shook her head
"Rahhhh! Bad Mord. I don't have your flax, sweetheart. I'm broke!" "Hmmm"replied again Mord.
As she was glancing around, looking at a woman eating melon, he finally added for good measure "Can't say i'm surprised. Young already, you had issues to save any flax from your pocket money"
She didn't seem to be listening. she was glancing at the dance poles.
