New players need to be a grind because you need money in order to get the ships and play the role you want to play. And a new player is not going to be aiming to be a starflier pilot... . Maybe ask those who have Battleships for some time why they also have other characters and do not fly around exklusively in the big caps... .
I have a cap now. And its fun. I dont care about shooting up other people, and the cap is still fun. However, once I had it, i started playing other roles as well... trader, merc, miner.... and they are also fun. Its more fun now, since I can play those roles solely for RP reasons and not because I want the cash to get a cap. And yes, its a RP server, I know that. And still I wanted a cap first. Duh, thats reality of things.
