Well, after 3 or so years here, I've seen trading routes paying well, I've seen trading routes paying bad, I've seen mining being too damn easy, I've seen mining getting nerfed.
In all that time, the numbers of capital ships increased... by a lot.
At first I thought "Damn devs, they are making it too easy".
But in the last month or so, I realised that the numbers of capital ships increased not because it's easier or harder to make money, but because in the last years the number of players increased a lot.
I hate capspam, I really do, it ruins most of the fun.
But it's not only new players who do the capspam, I've seen the same from older players.
Make it in a week, or two, capital ships will be there because it's not the ease to obtain a capital ship what creates the capspam, it's the players' minds. And for that, it shouldn't be used as a valid arguement to nerf the trading routes.
