Using acounts on other computers

Ok.... i've already posted this up once, but for the life of me i searched and cant find it so here it is...


I have been playing discovery on a desktop - when i go back home ill be using it on my laptop and obviously i dont want to start over...

So, last time - someone told me to use Freelancer account manager.. so i downloaded it, and when it opened it found some kind of account (it said it was new and asked for a name) so.. i got it, made the file, emailed it to myself....

So installed everything on the laptop and opened the account manager on there.. and imported the emailed file manually into that program... all good so far, i opened freelancer, went to online games.. and it has a New acount ID... so.. i write down the other one, and manually enter it in... i get onto the server, and nothing has happened, my accounts arent there.....

i know im doing something stupid somewhere... but i just cant make it work - i noticed as well that freelancer account manager gives my acount iD and something called a signiture number.. both of these have lower case letters in them, but freelancer doesnt let you use lower case letters when you enter your account (is it case sensitive?)

Has anyone done this before? any help would be appreciated... ideally, id like to be able to use my accounts on both computers, when im at either place..
