Biography:

For the greatest part of his adult life Darryl was a mere cog in the capitalistic system that is Liberty. Being one of the millions of small-business owners, he ran an unremarkable antique-shop located in one of the districts of Manhattan. Antique books were his main business, but an odd rarity from Sol, from early days of colonization or from Sleeper ships themselves (all the mentioned being cheap forgeries most of the time, rather than the real thing) were also welcome additions to shop's stock.

Things were going smoothly and calmly for years, but an unfortunate combination of greed and false sense of security put an end to the untroubled period of life of Darryl. The offer to invest a rather large sum in an almost-legal deal involving harmless toys of rich collectively named 'artifacts' in exchange for almost 100% profitability was too good to refuse. It didn't appear to Darryl that it might also be too good an opportunity for his business partner to go conveniently missing with all his funds knowing well that Darryl can't turn to legal authorities due to the nature of the deal.

Left in deep debts with little chance to repay them, Darryl didn't wait till his shop gets shut down by debt collectors and did what most people would do in such situation: he gathered all the available money that wasn't technically his anymore, took a coulpe of most valuable items from his shop that wasn't his anymore as well and left the planet and then Liberty on his Rhino freighter.

The most valuable of his items - an excellent forgery of an antique issue of 'History of Sirius' - was sold to the captain of a ship of a passing IMG convoy. This fact, proving that guild members are financially situated quite well and allowing Darryl to change his old (and probably blacklisted in Liberty) Rhino to ex-state-of-art Drone freighter, was one of the reasons IMG was one of the first options that came to his mind when Darryl considered his future career.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild ? "While I am not all that much in the mining process itself, I can offer a decent contribution in providing the work infrastructure. I have some experience with transporting goods, that might come in handy."

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ? "I need a ... fresh start in another career... to say. Nothing dark and shady in my past, don't you worry, I'm just in need of a simple and calm life as a working man. Oh, and transportation division it is. I have nice Drone freighter in my possession which I can contribute, or... with a little loan... I can get a hold of a greater vessel and contribute on higher quantity and quality"
