New Lusitania

[Lusitano]

* Yesterday was really a bad day for Viriato! He is still recovering from the last raid and he was alone! Bored and with chest pains he tried many things, fom simply watching TV to breathing control techniques, he even got his old long sniper rifle to help him concentrate! It worked but not for long!!! He felt like a animal in a small cage, and to get worse ... he didn't had nothing to eat except some piece of food rations. Since we got so many .. "guests"... Viriato usually eats on the canteen ... so Ana forgot that he couldn't leave is quarters! The bad temper which is known was starting to get his maximum. It was late, and Viriato went to bed, on his side of the bed with his back turned to the other side he waited!

Ana arrived late, as usually. She is the one that coordenates all actions to our ... guests, from food to all basic needs like clothing and health. Viriato pretended that was sleeping, Ana went to the kitchen and notice the piece of food ration on the table! *

- Ohh God i forgot!! - *She said in a low voice*

* She went prepare her self to go to bed ... on the floor there was Viriato's rifle, and by his position, she knew that he was really angry! Shortly she joined him on bed, she tried to hug him but viriato continued pretending that was sleeping and didn't moved, so she simple leaned his body and put her hand on his shoulder!

On the morning, Viriato had long been awake but still didn't moved! Alarm clock rings, Ana woke up but Viriato didn't moved! She kissed him but Viriato still didn't moved, she prepares for another day while he continued the same. She took his phone, and went to the living room, and Viriato heard she saying something but didn't understood what, and she return to room, puts Viriato phone whare it was! She gives a kiss and leaves.

As soon she lefft the quarters Viriato takes his phone, there was a message " i love you", Viriato smiled for an instant, but ... realy bad tmper and his chest pains were not helping. He prepared himself to leave, and placed his rifle on the trunk where he keeps his guns and some past memories, and left his quarters. He went for the stairs as usually but ... he decided that this time the elevator was better. Outside he didn't go unnoticed, all people looked to him and all made the usual greetings, one Delta member even said * Good morning Sir. Good to have you back* Viriato greet him and continued in direction of the hangar ... slowly!! Ana saw him and went to his direction*

- Ana - What are you doing here?

- Viriato - Good morning to you too!

- Ana - Sorry! Good morning! You must stay in bed and rest!

- Viriato with his full bad temper - What do you care?! Go help then and leave me alone like you did!

* Ana was silent, and to get worst one of her aides comed and asked something, and Ana turned to her and Viriato walked away, and when Ana turns again Viriato already got some distance. She was stunned and didn't knew what to do!*

- Joao passing her - Don't worry! I take care of him. * and went running catching Viriato*

- Joao - Look who is here!

- Viriato - Hi!!

- Joao - You know .. Ana is making a great job wth our guests!

- Viriato - #"%$&" (censured) then!! I'm getting tired of all this! Where the "#$"%" (censured) is the so call High Command?! Is their people and they don't care?! These people even don't know if their family is alive or not, and if they can fly to Theta and even fly on Kyuchu they can send a !$"#% (censured) message to here!

- Joao - Ok calm down!! I know you are right and i understand that you are angry but is not her fault!

* Viriato continued to the hangar without speaking, on the hangar he noticed one of the vehicles that participated was been repair*

- Viriato - Good morning! What is wrong with it?

- Technician - Good morning Sir! He took some hits and he are reparing it! Just some scratches, nothing that some paint can't fix!

- Viriato - Good! Carry on!

- Kurosawa was coming toward Viriato with a new rifle - Gu-tenmorugen Viriato san .. oohh sorry! Good morning (he bows)

- Viriato - Good morning! What is that?

- Kurosawa - Please come!

* Kurosawa showed Viriato the new weapons that has been developed*

- Viriato - They look good! So what we got here?

- Kurosawa - You wanted a simple and clean design for a projectile type gun. So i made a research and found this design! It is a fail prototype rifle from the 21 century Sol, that a former Rheinland company made to the former Liberty army. I took the design, and made some improves and apply all late technologies in materials like titanium, the late polymers even platinum and gold!

- Joao - So basically is a improved version of a weapon system with more than one thousand years!

- Viriato - I like it!! Were they tested?

- Kurosawa - Hai! All weapons were passed by this tests! Firts a continuous two thousand rounds, even the semi auto sniper rifle, and then it was emerged in water. With the barrel and receiver still emerged it was fired one thousand rounds, and then immediately was putted in sand, and after some shakes another one thousand rounds, and then mud, and with mud another one thousand rounds! In the end they were cleaned and tested and ... they passed! And the weapons you see here passed those tests and they are ready to be used! And has you can see on the top is the regular assault version, then over there the shorter carbine and the semi auto sniper version. Also a version with a grenade laucher and the sub machine version.

- Joao - Impressive! A blaster didn't passed half the test and the rifles we use now would jam!

- Viriato - Is there any material that you need?!

- Kurosawa - Nain! We have all we need to equip all our soldiers and even have a surplus.

- Viriato - Good start now the production!

- Kurosawa - Hai! (smiling) Viriato you may notice that we are now making four Boar vehicles

- Viriato - Yes i saw it! Continue production of the vehicles that was assigned! After we will see some new projects that i know that you have!

- Kurosawa - Hai! Thank you very much!

- Viriato - No i thank you for your great job.

* Viriato and Joao were leaving the hangar, when the Moliceiro arrived with the daily load of luxury food from Cambridge and consumer goods*

- Joao - So Pedro will join us?

- Viriato - Yes but he will have another ship! A small ones just for our neeeds after our guests leave.

* Ana was coming to coordinate the unload of the cargo and her distribution, Viriato avoided her*

- Joao - Why are you doing this?

- Viriato - I'm not in the mood to talk, and i'm afraind to say somethjing that i will regreat!

- Joao - Fair enought! Go to your quarters and relax! You took a hell of a beaten!

* Viriato agreed and went to his quarters, he really needed some rest*
